Under 17 Boys Football

Hard luck to our U17 Boys who lost out narrowly to MacCumhaills in the county semi final on a scoreline of 1.08 to 1.07 .It was a truly heroic performance from this young team who left it all out on the field this evening.

Trailing by 3 points going into the last ten minutes they dug deep to bring it back to all level going into injury time. However MacCumhaills went back into the lead with a very soft free in front of goals and despite their best efforts the boys just could not find an equalizer.

It was a bitter end to a great match but the boys can take great comfort from how they have improved and played as a team this year.

They certainly did the club proud .

Thanks to the team and management for their hard work this season .

A special thanks to Ethan mac Nulty , Dan Dunnion , Conor Reid , Conor Gillespie ,Ross o Keeney and Ethan Potter who now move on to adult football next season.

And to the rest of the squad we look forward to seeing them back representing the club at u17 level again next season .

Under 15 Boys Football

Good luck our U15 boys who take on Naomh Conail on Tuesday evening at 7.30 PM in Convoy Centre of Excellence.

Our lads got through to the final having beaten Naomh Brid in the semi final with the Glenties lads overcoming Killybegs.

The game was originally set for Sunday morning but due to a couple of the lads playing with the 17’s, Glenties kindly agreed to change the fixture which we thank them for.

It promises to be another great battle between these two well matched teams but hopefully our lads can take the spoils tomorrow evening.

Regardless of the result both teams have already qualified for the County quarter finals which take place next Sunday .

Best of Luck to the team and management.
