Four Masters Ladies travelled to St Mary’s Convoy on Sunday 18th to play the first leg of the Intermediate Championship. It was extremely obvious from the whistle that St Mary’s were on a mission and had significant scores recorded before Four Masters rallied. Once the girls settled into the game they competed well but St Mary’s were a stronger and more determined outfit on the day.
Although by half time the score difference was extensive Four Masters showed grit and resolve and battled well in the second half. St Mary’s ran out well deserved winners and Four Masters learned a tough lesson that greater fitness levels and sharper passing are needed to compete at this level. Well done to the players who never gave up and competed to the final whistle.
Training resumes on Wednesday at 8.00 Tir Connaill.
