Four Masters is one of 3 GAA clubs in County Donegal and 45 clubs nationally that have signed up to participate in the GAA Green Clubs program.

The intention behind this program is to encourage GAA clubs to develop and improve environmentally sound and sustainable policies and practices in their day to day operations across a number of headings. The main focus areas covered by the program are Energy, Waste, Biodiversity, Water, Travel & Transport. Phase 1 of this program is scheduled to run for 12 months (calendar year 2021) and is effectively a pilot to build learnings and templates that can be rolled out to the mass of GAA clubs throughout the country when Phase 1 is completed.

We are setting up a small sub-group to help coordinate the program within the club and further announcements and initiatives will be posted on the club facebook page and on the club website over the coming months.
We would welcome input or suggestions from the club community on any of the topics mentioned in this post and remember you don’t have to be heavily involved in the sporting side of the club to get involved.
