‘Donna Dunnion Memorial game’
Join us on Saturday 25th June for an afternoon of fun and a trip down memory lane in honor of a special lady…..
The Four Masters GAA club is delighted to host a memorial game for the late Donna Boyle (née Dunnion) on Saturday 25th June at 3pm. A Four Masters ladies team (composed of players from the last twenty years) will take on players from the 2003 All-Ireland Donegal Junior winning side to mark the formidable footballing career Donna displayed throughout that era. Donations received on the day at the gate will be donated to Donegal Hospice and other local charities that aided Donna through her long sickness. On the day also, Donna’s kids will play for a Ardara against Four Masters underage teams. For anyone interested please join us on the Donegal Bay waterbus at 6pm, for food and light entertainment. Our U13 Boys (Div 1 Team) got their league off to a great start with a good win over Dungloe in TCP on Monday evening. The boy started the game well, and built up a great lead at halftime. But Dungloe came out fighting in the second half and chipped away at the Four Masters lead, bring it back to a 3 point game at one stage. The Four Masters boys dug deep to tag on a few more scores and run out the eventual winners. Next game is away to Ballyshannon.
U14 Girls
Our U14 team played their first league game on Saturday away to Aodh Ruadh. In very unseasonal conditions they lost out to a strong Ballyshannon team. Well done to Aodh Ruadh who adapted to the conditions better & showed great improvement in last few weeks. Next up for this team is Ardara away next Saturday.
U8 Hurling
Our U8 hurling/camogie team played a great game on Sunday morning against Setanta. There are lots more games coming up for all age groups. Training is on Tues at 5.30 in Tír Chonáill for boys and girls born 2014 to to 2017. If anyone is interested in coming along contact Danny (0879338405) or Sandra (0879075247)
Academy
Our Academy is back up and running on a Saturday Morning.
First session 10am, new players always welcome.
We are also running a training session with children from the Bluestack Special Needs Foundation training at 2pm each Saturday. Anyone interested in coming along to help is most welcome.
