Results and Team News
Senior Reserve Football
Hard luck to the Senior Reserve team who lost out to St Michaels in Tir Conaill Park on Saturday. It was a frustrating game to watch from the sidelines and must have been even more so for the players involved. With the play being repeatedly stopped and no advantages played, it was hard for the home side to build any continuity or fluency into their play. Despite that, Four Masters might still have finished on the right side of the scoreline if they had been able to convert some more of the scoring chances they created.
Final Score: Four Masters 1-08 St Michaels 3-05

Senior Football
It was a case of hard luck on the scoreboard but well done on the performance for the Four Masters senior team on Saturday. The home side recovered from a slow start and went toe to toe with the visitors for the rest of the game. Playing with great determination and no amount of little skill Masters put some good passages of play together and with 6 different players registering scores were a point up with 29 minutes of the second half gone. However St Michaels managed to tack on a couple of late points to edge out the game on a final score of
Four Masters 1-11 St Michaels 1-12
Four Masters will take a lot of encouragement from today’s performance and will look to drive on for whatever remains of the 2021 championship.

Boys Underage Football
Congratulations to our u15 boys who defeated Naomh Brid to qualify for the Southern Division 1 Regional Final next week where they will play Naomh Conaill.
Well done lads and management
Congratulations to our U17 boys team who defeated Dungloe under lights in Ardara on Monday night on a scoreline of 0.11 to 1.06 to book their place in the Division 1 County semi final next weekend against Mac cumhaills.
This was a hugely impressive win against a very strong Dungloe team but our lads showed great heart and maturity to eek out the win in the end.
After being 5 points to 1 up at half time the Dungloe boys stormed back to have it level at 5 points apiece at the second water break. However the lads composed themselves and kicked on with 5 unanswered points of their own to go 10 points to 5 up going into the dying minutes. Dungloe then struck for a goal to leave them just two behind.
But the lads in their next attack went back up the field to put themselves 3 up again .
Now deep into injury time the Dungloe lads pressed for the equalizing goal but could only manage another point and it was too little too late as the ref blew the final whistle. It was the end of an enthralling encounter which both teams deserve immense credit for producing
Thanks to everyone who came out to support the boys on the night and best of luck to the team and management in the semi final.
Girls U12 Football
Our Under 12 girls celebrated the end of a wonderful season, with a 14 a side in house game in Tir Chonaill Park.
Then thanks to Damien Cassidy and his company Farmleigh Properties who treated the girls to food in Supermacs.
The girls all received a medal and a team photo for going through the season unbeaten.
The girls had voted for the Most Valuable player and this award went to Megan Gallagher, who had a wonderful season and has a bright future.
All the girls deserve great praise for their hard work at training and great effort in the games.
Under 14 Girls
Another successful end of season finale for our U14 girls with a 12 a side ‘ in house’ game at Tir Chonaill Park. The girls were presented with medals for winning Division 2 of the U14 League. The girls were treated to some pizza & goodies afterwards. Thanks to John McGlanaghy for reffing, and Deirdre Dillon for presenting the medals.
Super well done to all the girls who trained hard all season & performed very well in all their games. They have a bright future as a team.
Congratulations to our goalkeeper Rosie Weir who the girls voted as Most Valuable player to the team after some wonderful performances this year.
Senior Ladies Football
Our senior ladies played their last game of the season at home against a competitive Gweedore side. Overall it has been a very positive year with large turnouts for training and games. Unfortunately the season also brought some injuries which left team members on the side lines… wishing everyone a speedy recovery. Looking forward to next season where we will welcome players back from abroad, injury, maternity leave and from their studies. Pictured some of the panel with new training tops. Well done to everyone involved this year , both on and off the field. Many of the senior team assisted with other underage ladies teams and camps throughout the year too. Wonderful ambassadors for Four Master’s club and LGFA
Minor Girls Football
Our Minor girls ended their season with a Home game against Red Hughs and like a few of our games the girls were very unlucky to lose out by a point. The girls have performed ever so well this year especially as they are a very young squad of players, and its virtually the same squad minus 2 players that will be playing minors next year, all in all the girls have really improved this year and exciting times ly ahead for this group of players, Four Masters Ladies just want to thank “Hollybrook” for their very kind sponsorship for the year as it was a great boost for the Club. Until n ext year Cheers Everyone.
