Results and Team News
Senior Hurling
Four Masters hurlers had to dig deep to earn a narrow victory over Letterkenny Gaels in Tir Conaill Park on Wednesday evening. The home side started well with some well struck scores, but the visitors grew into the game as the first half progressed, with little between the teams at half time.
Both sides were guilty of some missed chances from frees and open play in the second half and the game was in the melting pot coming into the final quarter. The Gaels had pulled ahead by 2 points before Four Masters scored a somewhat fortuitous goal direct from a long range free. From there, the home side pushed on to close out the game on a winning scoreline of 2-11 to 1-12

Under 14 Girls Football
Our U14 girls played their first league game vs McCumhaills on Saturday in Tir Chonaill.
Our girls started very well, showing great teamwork and passing moves and they soon took a comfortable lead, which the never relinquished and went on to win comfortably.10 players in total were on the scoresheet, which shows that it was a great team effort from all over the pitch. Good contribution also from all the defenders and our 2 goalkeepers.
Good to see some of our younger players getting a good run out, competing well.
Next up in Downings away next Saturday.
Under 16 Girls Football
Our U16 Girls kicked off their league with a hard fought away win against Naomh Conaill Ladies, Naomh Conaill started brightly and soon opened up a 4 point lead, but our girls rallied and were level by half time , second half the game ebbed and flowed with both teams taking the lead, but our girls once again rallied, to win the game on a scoreline of 6-8 to 3-14 , Very well done girls, all the girls played their part in this very satisfying win.
Under 12 Girls Football
Our U12 girls got our league games off to a winning start this evening. We played a physically bigger and stronger Red Hughs team on a wet evening in Tir Chonaill Park. The girls settled down to their task early on and got into a great rythem of pass ing resulting in fantastic scores.
The teamwork was a joy to watch with every player from 1 to 17 contributing to an enjoyable match to watch. Even our lucky mascot – Emma – with her crutches cheered the girls on. We ran out comfortable winners in the end but were made to work hard for all our scores by a determined Red Hughs team.
