Four Masters Ladies Football Notes

Senior Ladies
Ardara proved too strong for our Senior ladies on Sunday morning last. The girls put in a good, honest display and tried hard throughout the game. We moved the ball well, but our final pass let us down at times. There were a lot of positive performances such as Eva Diver who impressed at right half-back with Ellie Battle making some excellent saves in goals. Well done to the 22 players who represented Four Masters LGFA today. Next up is Aodh Ruadh next Sunday (26th July).

U14 Girls
Our U14 girls’ league campaign got off to a difficult start on Saturday morning in McCumhaill park.
We were up against a bigger & stronger Ballybofey team and together with the full county pitch and large goals, we struggled to cope on the day.
The girls got off to a great start and got the first few scores but once we lost the lead, we failed to regain it.
The girls battled hard throughout and with some lovely teamwork, we pulled off some great scores. The defence never gave up and our young goalkeeper saved us on more than one occasion.
The better team won on the day and the girls will learn from this experience. It was great to be back playing competitive games after months of Lockdown!
